How the Batak League Works
The league is a tiered competition that runs in monthly seasons. Every match you finish against real players at Classic tables earns league points (LP); reach 10 and you climb a division.
What is the league?#
A season starts on the first of each month and settles at month end. Everyone starts at Bronze IV and climbs a five-tier ladder: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond.
Each tier has four sub-divisions (IV, III, II, I). Within a sub-division you collect league points (LP) from 0 to 9; reaching 10 promotes you to the next sub-division (at Diamond I there is nothing above, so LP simply keeps accumulating). LP never drops below zero — relegation happens only at season end.
How do I earn league points?#
LP is awarded only at the end of Classic (auction, solo) matches played with four real players. Your final placement converts to points:
| Final placement | League points |
|---|---|
| 1st place | +3 LP |
| 2nd place | +1 LP |
| 3rd place | −1 LP |
| 4th place | −3 LP |
Which tables score points?#
Bot-filled tables and Partners (2v2) tables do not earn LP. Two reasons: league standings measure performance against real players, and bots must never influence league outcomes.
Tables marked 'LEAGUE' in the lobby exist exactly for this: bots never fill them and the bot fleet never joins them, so the seats stay human until four real players meet. You can enable 'League table' when creating a table.
How do I join?#
The league is opt-in, from the home-page league card or the Tournaments tab. Joining requires a number of finished hands — a simple gate against freshly minted accounts farming the ladder.
Under the same rule, at most two league games per day against the same opponent score. The league is open to everyone, including guest accounts.
What happens at season end?#
On the first of each month the previous season settles: the top three of each tier are announced as champions and their rewards are credited. Then a soft reset applies — active members drop two sub-divisions, inactive members four; nobody falls below Bronze IV.
Season standings rank by total league points collected during the season; ties favour the player who scored the same with fewer games.
What are the rewards?#
Finish top three of your tier and you are credited a champion badge; the league chip on your profile shows your current division. Season champions appear on the champions wall of the league page.
There is no money or physical prize — all rewards are badges, titles and profile decoration.
Does the league affect my rating?
No. The league and the rating system are separate: your league standing never changes your rating, and vice versa.
Can a friend and I farm games against each other?
At most two games per day against the same opponent score, and points only come from matches finished by four real players — arranged wins cannot inflate a league standing.
Am I disadvantaged if I join mid-season?
Standings rank by total points, so joining late narrows the championship race — but promotion and tier rewards follow the same rules for everyone.
What happens if I surrender a game?
Surrendering ends the game and your placement is taken from the score at that moment; you may lose LP. Walking away from the table does not count as surrender — unfinished games are simply never scored.
