Live Batak means playing against real people, not bot line-ups: four humans at the table, every move in real time, every round a real contest. This page covers how the live tables work, the Elo rating and everything about playing free live Batak on batak.pro.
What is live Batak?#
In live Batak the cards are dealt against real people who sat down at the same moment you did. You can bluff, read an opponent's caution and coordinate with your partner in real time — none of it feels the same against a bot.
On batak.pro the tables are listed in the lobby with their mode (classic or partners) and speed; you sit at any of them with one tap. If no open table suits you, start one — bots hold seats until real players arrive, so your table never waits empty.
How the live tables work#
- The lobby lists every open table with its mode and speed; all free, no sign-up required.
- A player who leaves mid-round is instantly replaced by a bot — the game never stalls.
- "Play Again" starts a fresh deal at the same table; seats and opponents stay.
- A dropped connection holds the seat for 60 seconds; return and continue exactly where you left off.
The Elo rating#
As you play live tables your Elo changes: beating strong players earns a lot, losing to weak ones costs a lot. Progress in Batak is tied to real performance, not games played.
Your Elo is visible on your profile and reflects your level at the tables. Rounds you complete in your own seat count toward fairer matchmaking — rounds finished by a bot takeover are excluded from rating.
Table speeds#
When your clock runs out the server plays a legal card for you; a round never collapses on its own. Rushers pick fast tables, thinkers pick calm ones — the lobby says which is which.

Chat and emotes#
Chat is open at live tables and protected by a rate limit (3 messages per 10 seconds), so chat serves the game instead of flooding it. Feelings travel through whitelisted emotes; they can't be spammed.
Respect is part of table etiquette: not leaving mid-round, and not pressuring opponents who don't want a rematch, are the marks of a good table.
What if my connection drops?#
The biggest fear in live games is the dropped connection. On batak.pro your seat is held for 60 seconds: return within it and everything — including your turn — is where you left it. Stay away longer and a bot takes the seat so the table finishes its round; you can come back to the same table for the next deal.

Are live Batak opponents bots or real players?
Live tables aim for four real players. If someone leaves, a bot takes the seat so the game continues; rounds finished with a bot are excluded from rating.
Is live Batak free?
Yes, every live table is free. You don't even need an account — join a table from the lobby as a guest.
What does the Elo rating do?
Elo reflects player level: it rises when you beat strong opponents and falls when you lose to weaker ones. It's shown on your profile and measures progress more fairly than games played.
Do tables survive when players leave?
Bots take vacated seats and the table keeps playing; "Play Again" starts a new deal with the same seats. You can also open a new table whenever you like.
